The Sterling Richards Company Story:
The origins of Sterling Richards started in 1977, when one of the founders Richard Marks developed the world’s first all natural dog food. The world media really took to the idea of an all natural food for dogs. To Richard’s amazement, it had not been thought of before. His company’s story appeared in newspapers and magazines all over the world. These included the London Sunday Mirror, People Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle and many more. Soon television & radio news programs from various networks began running the stories of these all natural products for dogs.

In a few words, that began Richard’s interest in all things healthy. Years went by and one day Richard met Sterling Ellison. Sterling owned a home in the same neighborhood as Richard. Sterling and his wife invited Richard and his spouse to their annual Christmas party. They became friends.

Sterling spent many years as the owner of a very successful mortgage company. At one time Sterling had five mortgage offices, and over 120 employees. Somehow all of his success got him thinking about simplifying his life. He got tired of the constant demand that is the nature of the mortgage lending business. Richard and Sterling would have lunch together about twice a month. There they would philosophize about the world, and about their respective businesses. One day a proverbial light went own. Why not start a business together? Start a business that is not only fun but a business that would benefit others as well promote healthy living.

It was also about this time that many of their associates both men and women were complaining that they were experiencing the physical signs of aging. Richard’s rewarding experience with natural products, and a common love and natural curiosity for nature compelled both of them to seek out “natural” products. Given this discovery it was decided that skin care products that not only worked but were gentle to both user and the earth were the right choice for them. The two also realized that in this day and age looking your best was critically important. People who look their best, and obviously spend the time to take care of their skin, reap the greatest rewards in life. Richard had past experience developing a cosmetic product, as well as years of experience marketing and merchandizing natural products. Sterling was great with marketing, logistics, chemistry and much more. Together they researched, analyzed, and experimented with every aspect of skin care products. They worked with industry experts focusing on product effectiveness, the latest ingredients, as well as state of the art packaging that of course were recyclable. After 2 years and countless hours they had finally come across the perfect skin care products. First the products that they developed were Certified Organic, all natural and even Certified Vegan. Secondly the products really worked to reduce wrinkles. In fact the products amazed people who tried them. But there was more. It turned out that their certified organic skin care products also diminished blemishes, brown spots, spider veins, even freckles. The more people that tried their products, the more people told them how wonderful they were. The two knew that they had something special.

Richard let a very skeptical friend critique the products. The friend tried their Facial Emulsive Cream and their Hands & Body Repair Cream. The friend who had too many freckles for her own liking stated to Richard “Your product blew away my freckles, the stuff is fantastic.” Not only that, she also “loved the name Sterling Richards”. Sterling gave the product to a successful marketing executive to try. After a short time the marketing executive called and told Sterling “I am amazed by all the compliments that I’ve received about my skin, nobody has ever complimented me on my skin before”.
